Farsoon FS191M

Versatile, ultra-high temperature platform perfect for scientific Research & Development.

Build Volume

φ191×199mm,

Dimensions

1116×845×2005mm

Technology

Metal LPBF

Introducing FS191M System. Farsoon FS191M is a small size, multi-platform, multi-scenario metal system. FS191M provides a wealth of high-end optional functions. Equipped with Farsoon’s low-support technology.

FS191M is offered with robust 500 fiber laser to suit a wide range of application from dental, medical to material development.

The overall dimensions are 1116×845×2005mm, occupying an area of less than 1㎡, which greatly reduces the demand for space; The standard platform (forming cylinder) size is φ191mm×199mm (a small platform is also available), which is the leading forming size in the same class. The whole machine adopts a modular design to improve the convenience of maintenance.

The operating system
  1. Operation Access

The operation access located in the front of the build chamber offers ease of observation and de-powdering when the build is finished.

  2. Filtration System

The Recirculating Filter System offers efficient filtering of the smoke dust generated in the build chamber during the sintering process. Optional reactive material capable filter system is also available for application needs.

  3. Sieveing Unit

The powder sieving unit features a vibration screen offering efficient sieving of recycled metal powder from the material containers to filter out the large particles. The metal powder collected in the refreshed powder container can be re-used for powder supply.

Versatile Configurations

  • Available φ78mm×80 mm small platform to reduce scientific research and testing costs.
  • Optional 400 °C ultra-high temperature substrate preheating technology.
  • Optional molten pool monitoring.
  • Structured light detection technology.

Open Platform

Farsoon is the only laser sintering system producer that allows for complete freedom of operation of its machines.
  • Open source process parameters enable deeper research on additive technology and materials.
  • Process parameter packages for multiple materials.
  • Full support for customers.

Support Reduction System

Support-free technology not only reduces material waste but also minimizes post-processing time and costs associated with removing supports. This capability enhances design freedom, enabling engineers and designers to explore more innovative solutions and optimize parts for performance and weight reduction.

Industrial Applications with FS191M

The FS121M is an accessible small frame system allowing the user to select between multiple spot sizes and recoating blades, this combined with a small footprint and reduced need for ancillary equipment allows the FS121M to match customer workspace, material and application requirements. The FS121M is ideal for a wide range of applications from rapid prototyping, low volume production, material development to institution research.

Printing closed impeller with low-support technology

Printing equipment: FS191M Printing material: nickel-based high-temperature alloy Industry: aerospace It is difficult to remove the internal supports of the closed impeller formed by metal laser sintering, and the residual supports seriously affect the quality of the finished product. This closed impeller is formed in one piece using Farsoon’s independently developed low-support technology. Only a small amount of support is designed at the impeller mouth, reducing the amount of support by 99.8%. The internal and external 25-degree inclined structures are formed smoothly without support, greatly reducing the consumption of printing materials and post-processing time, and improving product quality and production efficiency.

Car round radiator

Application: automotive industry Printing equipment: FS191M Printing material: aluminum alloy Sample size: 176 mm×176 mm×168 mm The radiator produced by traditional manufacturing methods is square, with a single-circuit internal structure, and the connection between the heat pipe and the heat sink is difficult to manufacture. However, with Farsoon’s metal 3D printing solution, this circular radiator can be integrated and has a liquid dual-circuit circulation flow design with additive design. Compared with traditional designs, this circular radiator has a larger heat dissipation area, making heat dissipation more uniform and greatly improving cooling efficiency.

Radiator Housing

Machine: FS191M Material: Tungsten Pore size: 0.5-1.5 mm Build Time: 4 Hours

This radiator housing is developed to prevent deformation of the copper material during high temperature operations, thus extending the life span of the chip radiator. Tungsten is selected for this application for high strength under extreme temperature; but it is also a challenging material to be proceeded by laser sintering technology. Farsoon metal 3D printing can achieve a high part density, advanced porous structure without the need to be further processed.

Use Cases

Automotive & Aerospace Components

A real-world case: an aluminum valve pump was printed using beam-shaping on the FS191M—resulting in lighter weight, integrated cooling, and superior thermal and structural integrity in one consolidated process.

R&D & Material Development

The FS191M offers full control over processing conditions—enabling users to experiment with new materials and refine parameters for cutting-edge applications like beam-shaping, structured light monitoring, and support reduction.

Small-Batch & Prototype Production

With its φ191 mm × 199 mm (5.64 L) build volume and powerful 500 W fiber laser, the FS191M excels in small-batch and pilot production environments—especially where high detail and repeatability are critical.
