Medium-frame industrial metal 3D printer (LPBF)
The FS273M is the next generation of the FS271M: a medium-frame metal LPBF system with a 275 × 275 × 355 mm build volume. It is available with one (1×500 W) or two (2×500 W) lasers for production of larger parts.
The FS273M is designed to address productivity, cost-efficiency and industrial workflow in metal additive manufacturing. It is offered with one 500 W laser (FS273M) or two 500 W lasers (FS273M-2) and processes a wide range of industrial metal powders, from stainless and tool steels to aluminium, titanium, copper, nickel alloys, tantalum and tungsten.
According to Farsoon, the dual-laser scanning strategy and calibration algorithms increase the build volume rate by up to 2 times compared with the single-laser configuration. A new recoater design and enhanced signal control support stable powder delivery throughout the build.
The workflow is built around an integrated sealed glove box, a reactive-material-capable recirculating filter system, a shared material container and a sieving unit. Key machine parameters are open to the user.
The FS273M has one 500 W laser and the FS273M-2 has two 500 W lasers. According to Farsoon, the dual-laser configuration increases the build volume rate by up to 2 times.
