Large-format metal 3D printer (LPBF) with 1.1 m Z height
An industrial metal laser powder bed fusion system with a 620 × 620 mm platform and a 1.1 m vertical axis for large, tall parts.
Farsoon developed the FS621M together with an aerospace industry partner, focusing on an extended build volume and maximum productivity per laser. The build volume is 620 × 620 × 1100 mm, and the system is equipped with a single 1000 W laser or four 500 W lasers.
The build chamber has front and rear access doors. After the build, the cartridge moves on an internal conveyor to an enclosed breakout station with glove boxes on three sides, an air gun and a vacuum hose. A dual-station filter design allows filters to be exchanged without disturbing the build.
Powder is handled in sealed containers of a common design for loading, unloading and sieving. The partially closed powder system allows continuous powder feeding while keeping powder quality easy to monitor. The system is open, so users can tailor build parameters.
The list includes 316L, AlSi10Mg, HAYNES 230, HX, IN625, IN718, TA15 and Ti6Al4V.
The build volume is 620 × 620 × 1100 mm. For example, an IN718 combustion chamber 780 mm high and 550 mm in diameter was printed on the FS621M.
Power is 400 V ±10%, three-phase, 50 Hz, 40 A, with an operating ambient temperature of 22–28°C. The machine weighs 9000 kg.
