Overview

FS812M-U was developed for high-volume production of large parts in aerospace, oil & gas, energy and automotive. The 840 × 840 mm build platform and 1700 mm Z axis give a build volume of 1200 liters (effective build size 810 × 810 × 1700 mm). Up to 10 fiber lasers with high-speed galvo systems are available: 8 or 10 × 500 W, or 10 × 1000 W with Beam Shaping. According to Farsoon, the multi-laser scanning strategy provides uniform mechanical properties across single oversized parts or high-volume batches.

A multi-layer gas flow with a wind-wall design removes particles in real time across the entire chamber. Chamber airtightness maintains very low oxygen content and reduces inert gas consumption to 12–15 L/min on average. The permanent filter module has a secondary circulating system and a dual-station filter design, so filters can be exchanged without disturbing the build.

The chamber has front and rear doors. After the build, an integrated conveyor transfers the part cylinder to a fully enclosed breakout station with glove boxes on all four sides, where multiple operators remove powder under inert atmosphere. Modular powder handling provides continuous loading, recycling and sieving under inert gas protection, and machine parameters are open.
