Overview

FS1521M is Farsoon's metal additive manufacturing system with 16 or 32 synchronized 500 W fiber lasers, designed for large-scale production in aerospace, automotive and energy. Two configurations are offered: FS1521M-U-16 with a circular (Ø1530 × 1650 mm) or square (1530 × 1530 × 1650 mm) build cartridge, and FS1521M-U-32 with a square cartridge. According to Farsoon, the square cartridge provides a build volume of 3,862 liters.

The system consists of a build station with front and rear access doors, a fully enclosed breakout station with glove boxes on three sides for up to six operators, and a part extraction area where the cartridge is lifted by crane. Cartridges move between stations on an internal conveyor. Powder supply, return, sieving and conveying run in a closed loop under inert gas, with continuous feeding and collection of overflow powder.

The integrated permanent filter module has two parallel circulating systems and a dual-station filter design for uninterrupted operation during long builds. Multi-laser scanning strategies offer modes oriented to efficiency, quality or balanced performance, and the process runs in Farsoon BuildStar and MakeStar® software with open key machine parameters.

What is the difference between FS1521M-U-16 and FS1521M-U-32?

FS1521M-U-16 has 16 × 500 W lasers and a circular (Ø1530 × 1650 mm) or square (1530 × 1530 × 1650 mm) cartridge. FS1521M-U-32 has 32 × 500 W lasers and a square cartridge. The effective build size is Ø1510 × 1650 mm or 1510 × 1510 × 1650 mm.
